In 2007,Decoy "The Gift"(real name Cortez McCoy) a determined youth from the Southside of Chicago made a choice to seriously pursue his passion and dream to become a respected and successful rap artist.While in college Decoy developed his lyrical skills in rhyming and soon after created a buzz on the campus performing with a group known as A-tip(short for anamal howse).Later Decoy broke off onto his own and started recording on underground mixtapes and performing at local hip-hop venues.. Decoy's lyrics are a reflection of his present and past experinces living in the mean streets to working legit jobs to maintain.Decoy's main claim to fame is:"I gotta make music that all people can enjoy and relate to"".
