User tags: country old-timey, folk appalachian, mp3 album
Soothing and heart felt collection of Tradional, Old Time, Country, Pop & Gospel instrumentals performed masterfully on mountain dulcimer & autoharp.
16 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Old-Timey, FOLK: Appalachian Folk
Details:
Gary Sager began building and playing mountain dulcimers after seeing David Schnauferâs âFischers Hornpipeâ video on CMT in 1991. The simplicity and sound of the instrument captured his heart. Since then, he has built hundreds of mountain dulcimers and has performed and taught mountain dulcimer at many musical events in the Midwest.
Toni Sager began playing the autoharp in 1993 after seeing a lady perform with one at the Fraley Festival in Olive Hill, Ky. She became infatuated with autoharps. She purchased one shortly afterwards. She now mostly plays a diatonic D & G âEvoharpâ, but switches back to her standby Oscar Schmidt when necessary. Mostly playing chord accompaniment, she has recently began working on playing melody. Toni loves to teach beginners, introducing as many folks to autoharp as she can.
Gary and Toni reside in Waverly, Ohio where they operate âPrussia Valley Dulcimers Music Shopâ.
