After many years in the trenches of hip hop production, Myron X has spaced out.

Inspired by the likes of Herbie Hancock, Pete Rock, The Mad Professor and Bob James, and Lonnie Liston Smith, Myron X has created an atmospheric groove he calls "Afterhourssexmusic". It is a jazzy, dubby chilled out, spaced out abstraction meant for the stereo after the club, after the after party, for those dusk to dawn hours, the soundtrack of sexy intimacy.

With words and music, Myron X reports from a world in between populated by defunct debutantes, misunderstood freaks, low-budget ghetto gangsters, hopeful drag queens, and others from the fringe element. His resume is spotty since most of his former employers did not survive the economic bubble burst of the early 21st century.

Myron X is a former DJ, record producer, magazine contributor, movie critic, screenwriter and a staff writer for a childrenâs TV show. He has averaged about a job every three years for the last 12 years. He currently resides in Washington D.C. with his family. He presently aspires to bring his "Afterhourssexmusic" project out of the underground and into the daylight and settle into his new hustle as a novelist.
