Every year many thousands of pilgrims, from many countries, come to the village of Taize in France to take part in the distictive prayer life of the Community.Founded by the late Brother Roger in 1940, his vision was to establish a spiritual centre of reconciliation between the Christian churches. Since those early years the Community has developed its own unique style of worship, particularly in its chants which have given the prayer life of Taize a special character all its own. You will find each track soothing, uplifting and spiritual. Many groups use these chants as background to meditation and a simple aid to a quiet and peaceful time.
