The Republik is a young local Hollywood FL. band formed in the summer of 2006. Although they play many recognizable covers, their original songs appeal to many âalternativeâ & âindieâ genres.

Colin (age 17), the lead vocalist, guitarist, & songwriter, has formal classic string training and natural talent for envisioning lyrics and melodies.

Jacob (age 15), the bass player and background vocalist also has formal string training and a knack for creative bass lines; a fast fingered freak of nature.

Emily (age 13), the drummer, has wandered behind the drum set ever since the age of 7. She has had formal percussion training but has a love for âhitting hard like a guy.â

Alberto (age 18), our âheadbangerâ, provides for our second guitar when gigging. He has earned the title of âarpeggio kingâ and when you witness his finger speed you will see why.

The Republik is the house band for the Dania Beach Grill and can be seen there regularly. They have also played at numerous events such as headlining the American Cancer Society's âRelay for Lifeâ, numerous restraunts and bars in the South Florida area, as well as school events, homecomings & parties. Our highly expirienced co-producer, and studio engineer, Mark Loren... is simply awesome to say the absolute least. He yanked talent out of this band and they are eternally grateful. His studio (42nd Street Studios) is located locally in Ft. Lauderdale... if you're a musician in the FTL area... go there. If you go anywhere else- your record will not be as good. It's quite simple, really. He's the best in the biz, there would be no "Last Chance Planet" without him.
