Note
-Since most of The songs are over 6 minutes, they do not really kick in till around the 2 minute mark, which is when the CDBaby Soundclips end. For sound clips of the main and best parts of the songs, general information, and for the sound clip of "Children of the Sky", the theme song for the Half Japanese art festival "Pangaea -Children of the Sky-" which was held throughout Japan during September 2007,

Rex Smith
Born in London. He is the creator of Tragik Recordings.
With an English father and Japanese mother, Rex Smith began experiencing a rich blend of both cultures from a very early age. As a teenager, he became very fond of the house music scene and started Djing under the alias âPlatonic Pimpâ in 1997. During University, he began playing to live audiences in London, and Koh Samui, Thailand. From 2003, he resided back to his other native country Japan where he has performed at many clubs and live venues in Tokyo and around Japan ever since. His unique style of blending multiple elements of the British and Japanese scene has received praise from various fields, and it was around that time when he started to produce creative tracks by fully utilizing the valuable experience he gained through these DJing activities and in life in general.
September 2006 saw the beginning of the Tragik Recordings project, and in 2007, the Tragik Recordings homepage was set up in accordance with the release of this first album âTragikized Vol.1â which is composed of a wide range of elements of styles from Tech House to Dubstep fused into an original style of his own. Currently, he is in the process of producing Tragik Recordingsâ very first compilation album, which will include various tracks from many young artists who share the same views of the current music scene, managing the general affairs of Tragik Recordings and actively DJing at multiple events. His signature tracks including âHaunted Samuraiâ and âSouler Systemâare both included this album, and have been heavily played on Club music releated radio programs.
Tragik Recordings
The Tragik Recordings project began in September 2006. It is a collaboration of artists who wish to convey the importance of seeing things without prejudice and borderlines. This concept has been transformed into dance/club music as being Djs, and/or artists themselves, they strongly felt the current club scene is a typical example of stereotyping and bordering with the countless amounts of genres of currently available club music. The creator, Rex Smith a.k.a. âPlatonic Pimpâ, who experienced prejudiced attitudes first hand thanks to his multicultural background, is determined to provide Tragik Recordings listeners with contemporary dance music that crosses these borders and can be accepted by the various club music followers of these multiple so-called âgenresâ.
Tragik Recordings aims to provide you with music ahead of its time, that also incorporates a blend of retro sounds as if to signify the representation of the past, present, and future of the club scene, in order to assist the presently saturated dance music scene and to make sure it will never disappear for good.
To keep the club scene forever and ever is the ultimate aim of the Tragik Recordingsâ members.
