About Sirus B Posse
Born on South Side of Chicago IL, in 1972. Was self taught since the age of 14. His older brother played bass in a school blues band. Moved from Chicago to London, where he then hooked up with DJ's, producers and musicians in the rare groove, roots, funk scene. Spent hours with such notables as the Alletti Bros. and Jamiroqui as well as countless other local talents. He later moved to the West Coast, bringing the funk and roots with him... Now a Maui resident for ten years, Sirus B. has honed his own brand of music; JUNGLE FUNK ROOTZ DUB, an eclectic mixture of london funk, chicago soul and hawaiian dub. Playing live shows in hawaii and currently planning a westcoast tour of the U.S. after opening for WAR,THE TWINKLE BROTHERS,WARSAW POLAND BROS.,TRIBAL SEEDS in Hawaii.Now getting ready to bring the new sound out of Maui,haiku to be exact,right to your hometown.So if you like deep funky basslines, screaming organs,nasty wah-wah guitar with smooth vocals and spicy percussion try take one bite of this!!!
