Details:
The soulphonic debut of Damond Moodie tempers the spirit with an absolute range of organic and engineered sounds. The intimate combination of Rock, Soul, and Folk, spins into acoustic candy, sure to leave you Fishin' For Words.

Damond Moodie initiated his music journey in 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio as the singer and sole lyricist of a regionally performing rock band called Java Bean. Raised on the diverse vinyl collection of his parents, he fed his spirit with the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Joni Mitchell, James Brown, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, and Simon and Garfunkel. In late 1997 he grabbed a guitar and set out on a solo Eastern U.S. tour to field-test his newly crafted acoustic musings. Shaping his organic troubadour style, he performed in over twenty cities (from Chicago to Atlanta to New York) in over three months, receiving much critical acclaim and inspiration. Following a two-month stint playing pubs and cafés in London, England, he returned to the U.S. searching for a place to put down roots. In 1998 he arrived in the Bay Area and has been impacting audiences ever since.

His charismatic vocal delivery, accessible storytelling, and soulful guitar grab hold of listeners from the first sound. Recalling elements from Seal, India.Aire, Lenny Kravitz, and Ben Harper, the music contains many styles and influences, but clearly fits into no one genre. Alternative acoustic soul feels good in the twenty-first century.
