Here is a brief history of the band: Antipathy was born way back in 1993 in Ossining, New York downstairs in drummer Alex's basement. From there they moved on up to Alex's garage. Played in 20-100 degree weather for 5 hours a day. It sucked. Ate Mcdonalds everyday. Then the cops came multiple times and threats about a large fine forced the band to try another practice spot. So off to Luke's garage where they lasted the summer until more cops payed a visit. Finally, they found an acutal rehersal studio(Cortlandt Music in Croton, now defunct) where they began to practice and eventually ended up recording a few demos there. Played thier first show at The Lowdown in Yonkers in 1997. In 1999 came RightTrack Studio(Time Square, NYC, now defunct) where the band attempted a full-length album called "Estimated As Worthless". Ten songs were actually recorded but only 4 were fully mixed due to lack of funds. Then came the great PrimeTime Studios in Pelham, NY. Rehearsed there for awhile then in 2001 recorded "Imminent Peril" with Turok. Sounded great. Played a few Nj Metal Meltdowns . Then rented a room in Eve Soto Rehersal Studios in New Rochelle for a few years and continued to practice. Constant line-up changes with bass players and vocalists continued to hold the band back....Moving on, in 2003, the band wrote and recorded "Removal Of The Mind". Played Milwaukee Metal Fest. Soon after its release the band broke up after 10 years. Then 2006 came along and the band soon felt the urge to re-group.....Through the years, Antipathy has shared the stage with many great bands....Malignancy, Mortician, Gorguts, Cryptopsy, Nile, Skinless, to name a few, along with the countless local and Metal Fest acts....Currently, Antipathy is working on re-learning older songs and also some new material which hopefully in a few months, will be ready to record....The adventure continues.... ..
