Details:
Atrix Wolfe and Beyond the Pale is the studio brain-child of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Atrix Wolfe...on this CD, as on his first release, Atrix plays all the instruments-- guitar, slide guitar, bass, drums, keys, percussion and vocals.
This album has a more organic feel than his first CD, featuring live drums and two cover tunes, both penned by Robbie Robertson, formerly of the Band. Atrix continues to work out of his home studio in western Oregon.
A few highlights: check out "In My Tree" for a catchy melodic rock bit,"Blue Love" for a straight reggae number, the title song "What the Ghost Told Me" is a unique mid-tempo groove,"Broken Arrow" is a fairly sparkling rendition of the original..."Time Machine" is a fourteen-minute guitar jam reminiscent of Band of Gypsies and Eddie Hazel.
