There is no better fellowship in the world than among those who can truly appreciate music. I am most content when I can retreat into my room, make a cup of coffee, turn the lights down low, and engross myself in the creation of something pure. I love music because it represents a noble, perhaps the most noble, element of our
existence- emotional expression. How better to celebrate life than to lavish in the thing that makes us human?

I am in my third year as a cadet and student at the United States Air Force Academy studying aeronautical
engineering with hopes of becoming a pilot. As such, I spend every moment of my free time fighting to overcome
the gaping void of artistic study in my schedule. I began experimenting with piano at 16, and my first real
composition was Eagle's Peak for band. Since then, I have managed to improve my methods and tools, aspiring
to achieve the most lifelike sound that I can. I have hopes of one day going to school to study music. My favorite composers include James Horner, John Williams, and Eric Whitacre.
