Black Sails is a hard rock band based in Yale, Ok. The five piece group came to their current form in 2004. Black Sails is an all original group with a unique sound. Each member brings his own influences ranging from 80's metal, 90's grunge, modern metal, and 60's rock. The result is a style unto it's own, defining the Black Sails sound.

A unique mixture of various genre and influences. Powerful guitar riffs and solos, reminiscent of the big hair era of the eighties,infused with the over-the-top rhythmic bass and drum fills of modern metal and tied together with the soulful cogent vocals of nineties grunge.

Black Sails was originally formed in 2004, out of a garage in a formerly quiet neighborhood in Yale by friends; drummer, Aaron Dennis and guitarist, Robert Moody. Within months, the band added vocalist Brad Skinner, and bassist Zach Maker.

The band has continued to develop and refine its unique sound. In 2005, Black Sails recorded their debut album, Minotaur, a compelling mix of power rock and haunting ballads. Encouraged by sales, the band has already
begun laying the ground work for their next album due out in late 2006.
