Details:
Greetings! After spending every weekend for the whole summer locked up in the studio, "Elephantasia" is complete! There is a good variety on this CD, we have songs that will make you go through a few red lights, and songs that tell stories from other personas.
The new CD was almost entirely recorded LIVE, and has very few overdubs, to preserve the energy of the music, and keep it organic.

We were very fortunate to work with a phenomenal engineer, who also had some great gear! There are vintage instruments and effects on this recording, the Moog and the Mutron were especially fun to use and play with.

For the recording of this CD, we left the world behind when we entered the studio, forgot everything about our lives, like jobs, and bills, and each weekend we would just stay in contact with our creative spirits, follow the song, and resist the temptation to do 100 tracks on each tune, reminding ourselves of the Golden Rule Of Music "LESS IS MORE"

After each weekend marathon session, we would sit around the table, eat a meal, and solve all the world's problems. There in that tiny house, buried deep in the woods, we never saw a television, or anyone but our sweaty selves, strumming, singing, and coming up for air after eating too many cookies. The morning's light would illuminate the half empty beer bottles, and bright junk food bags, depleted of their contents, and the smell of coffee would gradually bring us back to life, and back to work.. It would have made a great reality show!

We learned a lot about ourselves, and making music from this recording, I for one, scream at the sight of cheese Triscuts, having eaten way too many for one lifetime, but I also learned to not say no, and let the ideas happen, very often the spontaneous gems were the brightest moments on the CD.

We hope you, the listener can join us, and have the same sense of abandon while listening, that we did while recording. Enjoy!
