On this, Danny's debut solo album, he comes out swinging and thrashing. While better known as one half of the infamous newgrass/rock outfit the 'Carter Brothers' here he delves much deeper into the characters he creates in these songs about lost loves, lust and messin' around on the dark side of town. A rollicking journey of Americana, Roots Rock, Blues and Gospel he unselfishly bares his southern soul to us. Hard driving yet whimsical at the same time.

Danny assembled a real dream team band in Nashville where he has lived since 1994, to record his songs on Barcelona. Former 'Allman Brothers Band' keyboardist and hit songwriter Johnny Neel brings his unbelievably huge and emotional Hammond B-3 to the room on these sessions along with grand and electric pianos and demonic harmonica. Another ABB alumnus and good friend Jack pearson sits in for an acoustic blues tune playing resonator slide guitar trading acoustic lead breaks with Danny. Longtime 'Carter Brothers' bassist extrordinaire Ross Sermons holds down the low end steady groovin' with drummer/percussionist and Nashville session great Dann Sherril. Tanya Dennis and Jess Tardy carry the soul drippin' yearning back-up vocals to another level. Last but not least is Danny's brother Tim playing way cool mandolin, banjo, acoustic guitar and engineers the project as well in their TreeHouse Studios in Nashville.

Oh yeah, Danny sings and plays guitars notoriously, like a man possessed. Of course you'll hear his trademark Rickenbacker 12 string guitar along with his various Strats and acoustics. He also sat in the producers chair for this his very first solo album.
