The Gospel Messengers was formed May 1984
The name then was The St. Peter Deciples Singers
The members were, Egbert (Heavy) Hall lead guitar
Torrie Hall bass guitar, David Sutton drummer
Pam Sutton singer and Deacon Robert Davis vocalist
In July 1991 Egbert (JR) Hall joined as the drummer.
Glen Outlaw joined as a vocalist in 1992
In September 1993 Robert Edgeston joined as the keyboard player
and in 1994 Randal Shepard joined as a vocalist.
In March 1999 Deacon Willie Bryant joined as the bass guitar player
June 2001 Rebecca Nobles joined as a vocalist and May of 2002
Eric Moore joined August 2003 as a vocalist
Frank Robinson joined as a vocalist in 2003.
Eric Hall joined April 2004 as the drummer.
Shellemiah Graham joined the group May 2004, vocalist.
Ronnie Hines joined as a vocalist June 2004.
Fredrick Hall joined August 2004 as a vocalist
Egbert Hall Jr. fills in some times on bass or drums
Troy Hall fills in on bass
Debra Johnson fills in on bass

In January 1995 Pam Sutton named the group, Godâs Unlimited.
Godâs Unlimited remained the name until July of 2001 and then the name was changed to The Gospel Messengers and is still the name to date.

The Gospel messengers have enjoyed traveling eastern North Carolina
Singing the word of God in songs and we hope to enjoy many more years of singing Gods message.
