Latin flavored Rock/Pop Guitar instrumentals in the style of Santana.
9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Classic Rock, ROCK: Instrumental Rock
Details:
I spent many years playing guitar in various bands, gigs in clubs mostly. Finally I got sick of trying to keep a decent band together and decided to do my own thing for a while.
This CD is a follow up to my blues CD "Feeling Blue", and features latin influenced pop/rock instrumentals. One reviewer called my style "Latin Blue", because he said the blues feeling still comes though on the latin material. My work has been compared by some to Santana. I am a fan of his material, but have never tried to sound like him with the exception of "La Ranura", which I wrote as a tribute to Carlos. In that tune I attempt to capture the vibe of the work he did back in the 70's, probably my favorite period.
The tallented Geraldo D'arbilly is featured on percussion on most of the tracks on this CD. Geraldo is the best of the best in my opinion, and his work is outstanding.
