Dave Devlin was born on May 31, 1976 into the urban arms of Philadelphia, PA. He has found both comfort and inspiration in its surrounding towns, where he has also been inciting a unique musical principle over the last five years. Nowadays, Dave plays a variety of area venues, from major clubs in Philadelphia to New York City, to intimate stages and coffeehouses locally.

Seven years ago, Dave began writing music as a catalyst for the experiences and tumults in his every day. He masks the ordinary and provincial through an eclectic array of songs that embody a combination of raw emotion and sharp wit. Dave has been known to change the energy of a room effortlessly, which makes his live performances unforgettable. Days after a show, an attendee will most likely find herself humming his driving rhythms and stacked harmonies, or singing a hook from any one of his compositions.

In 2000, fate stepped in, and led Dave to Michael Kianka, President and founder of the DTC record label. "The first time I saw Dave play he controlled the room with every inflection of attitude. I knew to sign him right then." Dave also knew he had found the wisdom and guidance he was searching for upon meeting Mike, and, as demonstrated on the album, he was right. Mike helped translate Dave's unlimited musical potential and powerful grasp of songwriting into a tangible consolidation of Dave's signature sound.

Dave's two-year dedication to his recorded musical efforts has finally culminated into a much-anticipated debut album on DTC Records, scheduled to release August 10, 2002. Be sure to check out a live show in a town or city near you, and experience the tailored sound of Dave Devlin.
