Danish Karen Bach Trio plays energetic music with inspiration from the Nordic nature, all music original and written by pianist Karen Bach. In intense interaction with bassplayer Erik Olevik and drummer Christian Hoersted she creates an exciting universe of sound, where elements from the world of jazz, rock and pop meet in a special Nordic atmosphere.

The music happens as the singable melodies mix with spontaneous created universes of sound and play.
It is vivid original music full of intensity. European jazz with a touch of groove.
Karen, Christian and Erik met at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory of Copenhagen, and in 2005 the trio published their debut album "Samtale". Since then many concerts have taken place, and new tunes continue to grow. Now they are ready to show you their newest album "Flash Forward and Back".
With this new CD, the trio opens up to a more edgy and raw sound. The melodies are played with steady rhythms, and the contrasts are big in terms of open passages. The three instruments invent new things together on stage and find each other in a singable melody that sticks to your ears. This time they have chosen to record in a studio, and the sound is now more dry and compressed. The album is a musical journey through many different styles, and can best be described as singable, instrumental, accousic play. The CD was recorded April 2007, and has been mastered by the norwegian ECM-veteran Jan Erik Kongshaug.
