Ken Edwards has been an active freelance musician in the Dallas / Fort Worth area for the past 10 years, and was a featured soloist while on tour with the legendary jazz trumpeter, Maynard Ferguson. While at the University of North Texas , he was a member of the Grammy nominated One O'clock Lab Band directed by Neil Slater and shared the stage with world-renown musicians such as Dick Oats, Maria Schneider and Jimmy Heath. While at UNT, he held a teaching fellowship to direct the Five and Seven o'clock lab bands and taught jazz improvisation.
