Details:
Smooth jazz with acoustic piano and synthesizer highlights. Think of a cross between George Winston and Spyrogyra.

Palouse was written, arranged, and recorded over a three year period. Kevin B. Selby attended Washington State University (WSU)in Pullman, WA, some would say in the very heart of the Palouse. Many of the songs on Palouse reflect places or experiences encountered in the Palouse. For instance, Bryan Tower is the big clock tower in the middle of the WSU campus. B-Street is a street near the WSU campus where Mr. Selby lived during college. The track Goin' Home reflects the concept of going back to Tri-Cities, WA, for the weekend after a hard week of college. Harvest is indicative of the gorgeous fields of green and brown in the Palouse and that at the end of growing season, all those crops were harvested. Griz is short for Camp Grizzly, a Boy Scout camp near Harvard Idaho where Mr. Selby's son was employed as a camp staff member. Last Dream was written in 1987 while Mr. Selby was still in college. The track for Last Dream used on Palouse was from a performance at Bonefish Grill in Richland, WA on 8/31/2007.

Palouse is dedicated to Jan and Linda Goolsbey for their patronage (Mrs. Goolsbey provided the funds for many things, chief among them would have been Cakewalk Home Studio 6 without which Palouse simply would not have been), and for Jan's undying belief in a project of this sort and his support for various live performances together with Kevin.
