A musician from childhood, Lara was delighting audiences with her songs even before she was of school age. She grew up on a horse property in Wyoming, and many of her early songs were written while riding across the prairie, and debuted for her horses. Lara was fortunate to have adventurous parents who gave her the opportunity to visit many places around the globe. Her passion for composing was fueled by her travels. From an early age, Laraâs experiences of the people, sights, sounds, and smells of distant lands seemed to open a door to timeless worlds. As an adult, her passion for travel grew stronger, and went hand in hand with her wildlife conservation work. In particular, her explorations in India, the Americas, and Ireland deepened her love and appreciation for traditional cultures and music. She recognized the parallel between traveling and internal journeying, that is, discovering new aspects of our selves. As part of her own personal journey, Lara spent seven years in semi-isolation in the mountains of Colorado. This quiet space provided the inspiration for her new album, Unlock the Mystery.

Each song provides a glimpse into a different realm. From the realization of our individual, unique experience of life, in âReflectionâ, to acknowledging the availability of Divine Love in âI Rest in Your Heartâ, to the height of connection with the Divine in âSacred Beautyâ.

Although her voice has always been her primary instrument, Lara has dabbled with many others. You are most likely to see her with her favorite: the lever harp.
