A bit about the band/project: MIX IN SPAIN is basically Bill and A.J. O'Brien . Bill is a veteran of the Seventies Rock scene in Ireland. He started on bass with Cork bands Wild Oaths, Essence and Gaslight before moving to guitar with the legendary SLEEPY HOLLOW. One of the hottest bands in Ireland at the time,Sleepy Hollow toured extensively with the late RORY GALLAGHER , appearing with him, amongst many other venues, at London's famous MARQUEE CLUB . The connection with Rory was kept up over the years and,after Sleepy Hollow split up Bill moved to London where along with Johnny Campbell his band SUNWHEEL toured with Rory throughout the U.K. and Europe and also backed the notoriously cranky CHUCK BERRY on one of his European tours. Bill returned to Ireland in the late Seventies where with JOE O'CALLAGHAN he formed the HOT GUITARS. This great rocking band is still going strong. Well done lads! One of the other events at that time was A.J.'s arrival on the scene! From an early age A.J. was fascinated by the keyboards, starting off on an ancient harmonium, before getting the first of many KORGs. more to follow........
