Details:
David Stanley has spent the last year working on his debut
album, titled "Finding My Way", an apt title that that refers to the year-long songwriting and recording process that
preceded release of album.
"I wanted to make an album where every track was special, and the songs would be melodic enough to stick in the listeners head, all killer and no filler. when I listen to classic albums
of the 60's and 70's and 80's, every song could stand
on its own as a great single, and still fit into the
album concept as a whole, talking about making a
classic album, and trying to make it happen turned out
to be two very different things, finding my way to the
finished album was a long, ardous process, but
creatively satisfying, and when I listen to the album
I think I suceeded in what I set out to do,and much of
that credit goes to my friends, some of the best
musicians, engineers, and producers, that I have been
fortunate enough to know in recent years. I would do
it all again".
And it looks that David Stanley will do
just that, as recording has started on a follow up
album to be released in 2006.
