Murder Mystery is made up of 4 nice people that are really good at hanging out and playing good music. Beginning in 1999, Murder Mystery is an indie-rock quartet from Detroit. Gleaning influences from Pavement, Sleater-Kinney, and Sebadoh the band is comprised of Greg (drums), Ken (bass/vocals), Sara (lead guitar/vocals), and Adam (rhythm guitar/vocals).

In late 2005 the groupâs first EP was released on DetroitSounds Records. The groupâs follow-up release, âBig Rocket Go Now!â was released in June of 2007.

The new record continues to draw upon core influences from the indie-rock and lo-fi catalog, while stretching out to develop those genres and sounds.

Built on teamwork the group writes all their songs as a unit, each member lending a hand to create something interesting and unique.

Their songs have been played locally on WDET, WXOU, and on college radio in Chicago, Maryland, Wisconsin, and St. Louis.

Murder Mysteryâs members combined from various other Detroit bands (first starting in the college town of Mt. Pleasant in 1999). This experience comes through in their energetic live performances that have taken place throughout the country. The group has also performed in benefits for WDET and Detroit music magazine the Record.
