"Psaltrio" We are a trio of Bowed Psaltery and Mountain Dulcimer players. Greg Westman, Tish Westman and Jackie Williams. My husband Greg and I (Tish) are Luthiers. We make stringed instruments such as Bowed Psalteries and Mountain Dulcimers. Our studio is located in a facility called "Tamarack" in Beckley, West Virginia. Our third member of "Psaltrio" is Jackie Williams. We first met Jackie about 2 years ago when he attended one of my workshops. I teach Mtn Dulcimer and Bowed Psaltery here in Beckley as well as at Music Festivals. Jackie had been coming to Dulcimer classes for just a little while when he came early one night and heard the Bowed Psaltery class playing Rueben's Train really slowly (which is very mournful). It wasn't long until he had purchased one of our Psalteries and has been in love with the instrument ever since.
We really enjoy playing together and most of our music is very emotional. We hope that you will feel it also.
All of the affects that you will hear are created while playing. We don't use any electronics to create the vibratos or tremolos.
