Hailing from the rough lower class port city of Long beach ca. , Ravens Moreland was conceived by Bruce âRavenâ Moreland. Raven co-founded (at age 16) the early eighties experimental art band âWall Of Voodooâ along with his Brother , the late Marc Moreland. Raven also did shows with bands like Lords of the New Church and had a long stint with the early L.A. art, noise, gender bending group, âNervous Genderâ, and co-wrote the song "Sky is a Poisonious Garden" with Johnette Napolitano for "Concrete Blonde's" "Blood Letting" album.The ageless Raven who sold his soul to the Devil sometime in the eighties, stayed underground (jail/ mental institutions) through most the 1990âs, with plenty of time to write Lyrics, he decided to start âRavens Morelandâ and unleash this new sound upon a society being sucked artless by Faux punk , Hip hop and Emo âsoul mosquitoâ bands . Since recording his Début album âLock Up Your Mothersâ Raven has teamed up with L. Ron Jeremy (45 Grave, Frankenstein) Guitar, with DeDe (Hitchcock Blonds, Total Chaos) Bass, and Husband Steve (Gearbox) (Total Chaos) Drums.
