Hard to categorize, this collection spans the spectrum from Pete Townshend's vulnerable bluster to the heart-wrenching naïvete of Daniel Johnston (who contributed the cover art). Repeated spins are necessary to fully chart the geography of benway's troubled psyche and his ultimate transcendence of its boundaries. A tremendous release in every sense of the word.
