The River City Christianettes consist of 4 dynamic young ladies who have been singing and praising the Lord together for over 10 years. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, these young ladies have created a sound that is a cross between The Caravans, The Lumzy Sisters, The Truthettes, and Rizen. It's a traditional sound with a touch of contemporary appeal. So, we'll just call it a "Tradition-Contemp-orary" sound, if you would. The members of the group are Missy, Tanya, Danielle, and Monaque aka "Q". These ladies have been blessed to complete two CD projects together. The 1st CD entitled, "Not What We Use To Be" was completed and released in 2005. It was a success under the production of Marcus Fisher (Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Gifted formerly known as Chozen) and engineered by Curtis Day (Baton Rouge, Louisiana). Their 2nd self-entitled CD was released May 12, 2007. It was expected for this CD to keep the blessings coming. Under the production of Executive Producer, Ezra Bryant of the Wonderful Harmonizer's (Huntsville, Texas), and Kenneth Taylor (GSP-Houston, TX), the CD has been a blessing and is continuing to bless those that have had the privilege of listening and enjoying its messages.

Danielle is an accomplished lyricist who has taken events along life's journey and used them to fit each song leader. All of the songs are written by RCC member, Danielle, with exception to "Nobody's Fault But Mine" (Public Domain). Not only is Danielle the group writer but she is also a lead singer, as well as the background soprano of the group. Once you have been enticed with her voice you will recognize it to be her instantly. She is truly anointed and blessed.

Monaque James (picture: bottom)
Monaque is the speaker of the group. She keeps the crowd going with her words of wisdom by always staying in the word of the Lord. Q also leads and is a background alto and contralto. Although she is the jokester of the group, itâs strictly business when is comes to down to the business of the Lord. She is truly anointed and blessed.

Tanya is the quiet one of group. However, when she opens her mouth to sing praises she belts out a sound that the heavens have signed off as APRROVED. Tanya is a lead singer as well as a background soprano and alto. She is truly anointed and blessed.

Missy Jones (picture: far right)
Missy is the comedian of the group and is a world of fun but she takes her job for the Lord very seriously. She holds bottom with no mistake. She is a lead singer as well as the main contralto background singer. She is truly anointed and blessed.


The River City Christianettes have traveled many places throughout Texas as well as Louisiana. They are members of the Gospel Announcerâs Guild (TX) and placed 2nd in the new artist category November of 2005. During the same year these young ladies opened up for The Jackson Southernaireâs in Crockett, Texas. They also had the honor of opening up for the Bolten Brotherâs at the Live Oak Civic Center in San Antonio, TX.
The Christianettes have the privilege of performing yearly at the largest Martin Luther King March in the United States, which is in San Antonio, Texas. Another occasion that the Christianettes are highly anticipated at is the June-teenth Festival held annually at the Comanche Park #2 (San Antonio). 2007 is the first year that the River City Christianettes performed at the Eastern Star/Mason Convention held in San Antonio and these ladies left a lasting impression for future invitations.
Following Hurricane Katrina many victims were displaced in San Antonio. The Christianettes did their part and gathered canned goods and other perishables for the evacuees and even headed a mini concert that included other native quartet groups at the Kelly USA location. To add to their list of patronage, these ladies have also held mini concerts for the homeless downtown San Antonio at what is referred to as âThe Bridgeâ.
These ladies definitely are dynamic and their services for Christ extends beyond the four walls of church buildings. They have developed a sister relationship amongst each other with the understanding that only what they do for Christ will last. Still seeking to be better Christians, they still find joy in their ministry because they know that they are not what they use to be. With their signature song being âNobodyâs Fault but Mineâ, these four young ladies have a message for everyoneâ¦âif I donât make it into heaven, it ainât nobodyâs fault but mineâ.
