Details:
II is Zuriâs second effort. She rallied her musician friends to help flesh out these 11 new songs. The music is hard to categorize into a neat box. Zuri experiments with whatever sounds good to produce a finished product. The lyrics stand up as very mature and biting. If the listener takes time to explore the different peaks and valleys they will find a pleasing landscape of sound and ideas.
This CD was recorded in a home studio over the course of 8 months in 2007. Much care was taken to present the music in a natural state unchanged by studio technique.
Now a freshman in college studying music, Zuri has yet to reach her full potential.
Take some time and find a truly new voice in the scene.
