Singer/songwriter Zlati Krycer has been singing all her life either out loud or in her mind. Known to unconsciously chew or write in beat to the music, Zlati always lived life through melody and rhythm. Composing songs became her way of processing the world.

Growing up in Brooklyn, NY in a family of musicians, Zlatiâs musical career began as a vocalist, performing in various choirs as a soprano. Playing piano throughout the early years, she began to learn guitar to accompany herself as a solo singer. A natural songwriter from the start, Zlati has been accumulating experiences, having lived in Australia and various cities in the US. Being also a wife and mother, combined with her journey toward authentic Torah Judaism has greatly deepened Zlatiâs compositions to something thought and soul provoking. Having recently moved to Dallas, TX with her family, she has continued the musical expression process by completing her first solo CD, âNo More Hanging Looseâ.

Taking an organic/minimalist approach, recording each song very simply with acoustic guitar and voice or piano and voice with a dab of percussion, Zlati performed many of her more recent original songs. Fusing folk with the spiritual and a dash of Broadway, each song connects to a different aspect of being âa womanâ. With topics ranging from infertility, miscarriage, reincarnation, aging, chocolate, housework, spiritual growth, love, praise, and Torah philosophy âNo More Hanging Looseâ became a cathartic experience.

Zlati has performed internationally on three continents including Australia, Israel (in which she appeared at the Chassidic Song Festival in Tzfas), and the US. Her concerts tend to have a warm, earthy feel to them, imbued with a deep, connecting energy. Though an observant, religious Jew herself, Zlati hopes to reach out to women in general with songs that evince the experience and emotion of being a woman through a spiritual lens.
