Details:
Denny had a normal childhood; he played with G.I. Joes, rode BMX bikes, skateboarded down at local schools, and traded basketball cards. But what was most important, he loved music.
Denny started playing the piano at a young age. He said his mother made him. However, he "pretty much hated it" he recalls. Denny fiddled around with a few different instruments over the years including the trumpet, trombone, and later dabbling in drums.

Denny learned to play the guitar when he was 13 years old. His mom wanted him to learn an instrument, so he chose the guitar. Denny thought guitars were cool; he wanted to be like the guys rocking out with awesome solos and lead sections. He played throughout high school. He learned a few songs by Green Day, NOFX, and Nirvana, and Metallica. "The songs never really stuck in my mind. I always gravitated toward creating my own chord progressions and licks", he said.
The first songs Denny learned on the guitar were "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin and "Under the Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. His guitar teacher at the time taught him the songs and got him on his way. He kept playing and practicing, and performed a few item at his 8th grade graduation.
Denny has been playing ever since. However, there was a dry spell for awhile. He lost touch and didn't play. "I guess I was interested in other things. What was I thinking?"
After high school he bounced around to a few different colleges and eventually landed at Avondale College in Australia in 2000. He mostly went there to surf for awhile; not knowing he would spent 5 years there, and marry an Aussie girl.
Denny bought himself a new guitar and started playing and practicing like crazy. He said he got tired of playing everybody else's music and learning their songs. He thought, "why not make my own music." Denny started writing his own music about 2 years ago.
His music is inspired by everyday living, life's journey, love, happiness, problems we face, and a higher spirit. "I try to stay positive through everything, everything that's going on in this crazy world. It doesn't pay to be a worrier all the time."
Denny tends to find chord progressions while practicing, and from there his inspiration is born. He figures out what chord progression sound good, and then finds a melody. He then adds lyrics to what kind of feeling he gets strumming the chords. Most of his songs evolve over time. Not in one shot. He said"If I get stuck, I'll leave it and come back to it later or ask my gorgeous wife for her input."
In 2004 Denny co-produced his first debut studio album "Found My Way" with the help of Dale Willis. This was Denny's first attempt at recording. He got together a group of guys to help him out. Jeremy Mead played bass and Jason Davis played drums. These were college friends of Denny, and were eager to record as well. The album is a mixture of relaxed acoustic rock songs all written by Denny.
Late that same year before he left Australia, he started recording a second album. It is entitled "Days Gone By". The album was named in honor of his 5 years spent in Australia. The songs on the album are a collective reflection of experiences and foresights of what is to come later on in life. A little different sound and new musicians play on this album. The album is still acoustic rock-pop and features 2004 Australian finger-style champion Dale Wills as lead guitarist.
Denny is presently writing/recording demos of new material for a third album at his home in Redlands, California. "I spend a lot of time continually honing my skills on the guitar, and the great craft of songwriting. Writing a song is my outlet of expression. It releases all of my feelings the world crams into my mind."
