Details:
Featuring Bob Reynolds on saxophones, Justin Varnes on drums, Kevin Bales on piano, and Michael Blanco on bass, this CD is a fantastic representation of what can happen when great musicians get the chance to document a dynamic performance in front of an enthusiastic audience.

Bob Reynolds has performed with a wide range of amazing musicians including Brian Blade, Aaron Goldberg, Reuben Rogers, Gregory Hutchinson, Eric Harland, Kevin Mahogany, Donald Harrison, Cindy Blackman (Lenny Kravitz), Hubert Eaves (Eryka Badu), Walter Beasley, DJ Logic, Eric Krasno (Soulive), and Bob Brookmeyer. He has performed throughout New York at clubs like the Blue Note, Jazz Standard, Smoke, and The Village Underground, as well as various jazz festivals and clubs throughout Europe and Japan. Bob has led his quartet in featured performances at prestigious venues such as the Monterey Jazz Festival (CA), The JVC Jazz Festival (NY), and The Phoenix Jazz Festival in Kobe, Japan. The group was recently showcased on the BBC World Wide Radio program, "Jazzmatazz" with Alyn Shipton.

During his senior year of high school at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville, Florida, Bob received a scholarship to attend Boston's Berklee College Of Music. While still a student, he performed at the Kennedy Center, toured Europe and Japan, recorded for the BMG Jazz Foundations Label, and received numerous awards including Billboard Magazine's prestigious Billboard Endowed Scholarship for 1999/2000.

After graduating summa cum laude from Berklee in the spring of 2000, Bob moved to New York to immerse himself in its thriving music scene. The buzz about him has already begun to grow. "I am familiar with no better young tenor player emerging from school and just about to hit the scene than Bob Reynolds," says Aaron Goldberg, (Joshua Redman). "[He] swings with a clarity of ideas that bespeaks a quick and musical mind. I am certain that he has a big future in the music."
