Christopher M. Listorti, A folk artist based out of Southern Connecticut, is dedicated to writing songs which ponder about lifeâs inexplicable trials and tribulations, political flaws, and how to live through love and forgiveness when your pessimistic sense of inadequacy, and lack of motivation distorts your true self.

Before Christopher even knew how to speak his musical tastes had been heavily influenced by his Mother, Father and Church. His instruction started early during his childhood, mostly by watching his Mother perform for Roman Catholic Mass, weddings, and funerals. He had also seen his father's love for playing late night jazz gigs at the local clubs meeting tons of grown up Professionals that would cheer him on dreaming vicariously through John Listorti's last son. Both of his parents are music teachers and have instilled in him an appreciation for classical composers such as Wagner and Tchaikovsky or jazz artists like Miles, Monk, and Mingus "expanding" him mind at an early age.

The latter mentioned influences led to Christopherâs obsession with the darker, more somber, melancholy sound. He took notice of contemporary artists such as Radiohead and Elliot Smith his personal favorite, paying attention to their timeless themes and precisely orchestrated harmonies. One can identify these motifs in Christopherâs haunting melodies, classical guitar style, and honest and soft-spoken lyrics.

Christopher built his experience playing in bands with his childhood crew (Call It Arson and Avenger of Awry) as well as staying true to various solo projects throughout the years. His earliest project was "Something Like A Love Song" recorded with Jesse McVaney (CIA) on drums. He truly found a distinct sound when he decided to get serious with his solo project and make it his most prominent endeavor and muse. After a handful of touring and several releases with different bands and his EP05 "Long May You Run EP" Tour with James Downes (CIA) and Foreverinmotion. Christopher has obtained a solid following across the United States, and is still working on his first full length release.
