James Cobb grew up in a musical family. He began with violin at age 5, moving on to guitar at 12 and singing the entire time (not continuously, of course). After earning his degree in classical guitar performance from University of Delaware in 1981, he continued composing, songwriting and performing as a career in many places around the USA and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

During his high school and college years, James also became a very accomplished harmonica player and incorporated this into his performances in varous rock & blues bands over the years. Beginning around 1986 he expanded into the field of audio engineering - both for himself and fellow musicians - which led to an additional career as a record producer/engineer.

To date James has released 4 audio CD's of original music. This CD consist's of a 4-movement suite and 10 progressive etudes of his own original Classical Guitar Music. James has also had his Classical Music notated and submitted to Universitys around the world for students of the instrument to study.
