The DAVE STEIN BUBHUB nightly weaves a sultry tapestry of colors and tones which implores fans to dance in a smoky melange of funk, rock, soul and jam. DSB is a new band of seasoned players, playing non-stop sets of groove-driven funk creating a passionate and playful party atmosphere encouraging their audience to move and dance while imparting a socially and environmentally conscious message.

Bandleader Dave Stein has been writing, recording and performing for 25 years. Heâs been selling tracks online to fans globally since the release of his CD âTomorrow Still Has Meâ. Random acts of jamming at various Norcal parties and festivals introduced the players Ryan Vandenbroeck, Martin Fierro, Marty Ylitalo and Dave Stein to each other to perform and ultimately record Velvet Hammer. With its reputation for generating fresh, new and innovative sounds, San Francisco was the backdrop against which these musicians came together.

DSB has performed very actively each year since 2004, touring Northern and Central California and has enjoyed sharing the stage with legends like the JGB featuring Melvin Seals, New Monsoon, Leon Russell, Martin Fierro. In 2006 The DSB won âBest Bandâ from San Mateo County Times and âBand of the Monthâ on Grateful Web.com.

âVelvet Hammerâ features inspired appearances by the legendary Martin Fierro. It is a recorded testament to the material, energy and performance virtuosity demonstrated nightly by DSB and is sure to be one of the highlights of the 2007-2008 listening year.
