Deserted WarRoom, not giving up, or running away , but the hope that the war room is no longer needed.
Just as this project was being completed, news came of the untimely death of prolific composer, friend and uniquely talented musician, Chris Hewitt, whose own personal battle with cancer ended in June 2007. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this music will be given to the American Cancer Society.

The intent was to add a song dedicated to Chris, even though the work was already declared done, and the ink was already dry on the list of songs. That idea quickly led to not one, but 3 songs, Sasafras, The Slightest, and Luther.

Sasafras, inspired by a day when 4 or 5 kids, including Chris, his brother David, and David McClellan, spent a couple of hours trying to find sasafras, to make tea.

With brown sugar and no knowledge of such a recipe, or experience blending tea, the luke warm concoction tasted like dirt, brown sugar, and not much sasafras. We think the song turned out better than the tea.

The Slightest, remembering Chris seated at a Yamaha piano, playing things that seemed impossible.

Luther, for some still unexplained reason, one day Chris said âJust call me Lutherâ and so we did.

Some of the other songs were inspired by battles that are or have been fought, not necessarily by us.
