ELECTRONIC: Pop Crossover, POP: Piano
Details:
ÂHeartfelt bluesy-jazzy-rocky-sexy pop (his) original music is the type that thrusts it's hand through your chest and grabs hold of your heart. It's that kind of impact that keeps the audience glued to the band.Â
-- Patti Caron, Music Connection Magazine
Dean Vincent is one part singer/songwriter and one part electronica artist. He blends moody lyrics and melodies with synth grooves reminiscent of Depeche Mode. His current musical influences range from Beck to Moby, Air and Paul Oakenfold.
Early in his career Dean and his band, Neptune Jive, toured the mid-west college circuit and opened for bands like The Bo Deans and Soul Asylum. His first recording effort was a full length CD titled ÂDean. Dean co-produced the album with Michael Vail Blum (Like a Prayer, Madonna), in 1999 at Titan Studios.
Dean's newly recorded 3-song EP was mixed and mastered by Michael Lazer at Extacy Records South. His most current music is the culmination of an exciting partnership with Trance artist/producer, Stasean. Dean's edgy vocals and songwriting come together with Stasean's dance mixes to form Ârocktronica soundscapes like those of Dido and David Gray.
ÂDean's song, Only Want U More demonstrates all the more rich textural tenor that he and his producer  partner have recently developed.Â
-- Marty O'Toole, Music Attorney
Â(Dean's) lyrics are very visual and intriguing.Â
ÂCaptivating. Hypnotizing without ever becoming predictable.Â
ÂInnovative/unique approach  I like the Bowie influence in his vocal style.Â
--TAXI A&R
Dean and his band are currently gigging nightclubs in the Los Angeles area. Visit www.dean-vincent.com for updated performance information.
