Details:
Rapping in French, English, and Spanish, DJ Decryption has created a new niche in the hip-hop scene. He laces a combination of orchestral, Irish, and choral beats with philosophical musings ("Wherever I go I love what they speak / Life is sweet because you find what you seek / So 'cherchez la joie' [look for the joy] in all life's poses / Me? I'm just glad that thorns have roses" -Trilingual MC), political commentary (" 'Begone!' says a Bush to a neighboring vine / When it happens to be growing by a river called the Rhine / In a fine little country where they like to drink wine / Agree with the 'shrub' or it's boycott time" -Trilingual MC), and straight up hot lines ("Yo it's Decrypt; you came to see me shine / Computer nerds love me more than a T3 line" and "I'm always innovative; never work from ritual / But you steal your rhymes from pygimes... that's *aboriginal*" -Sounds Like A Plan). With guest artists ranging from the Middle-Eastern sitar-like "oud" playing of Laith Keilany to Jodie Manross, lead singer of the Jodie Manross Band, "Tales From Decrypt" has a wide range of styles and sounds, but intelligent and meaningful lyrics fill every track no matter if it's sung or rapped.

DJ Decryption hails from Hickory (tha HKY), North Carolina, but this hasn't stopped him from shredding mics at International Key Club Conventions, in bars in Ireland, and at Battle of the Band competitions in Winston-Salem and Hickory. He has also won freestyling competitions at local step exhibitions and block parties, and his concerts with his previous band "Agents of the Swarm" were renowned for their musical frenzy of 12 musicians, singers, rappers, and break dancers on stage at once. From the hot Irish fiddling of LepreKhan to the comic inputs of DJ Dradel, every moment was a ridiculously good time for both the performers and the audience. Current guest stars on the CD include the singing talents of Sarah Decker and Laura Sexton, the seductive lines of Cloud 9, a didgeridoo courtesy of Decrypt, and a blazing chorus by Killa C (Cedric C.) from the Lethal Minds crew in Hickory. Look out for more DJ Decryption in the future... but in the meantime go ahead and purchase a CD! If you want more, email DJ Decryption at djdecrypt@hotmail.com to find out about purchasing previous Agents of the Swarm CDs.

"The more I listen to your CD, the more I find musically and lyrically. I listened to it for the 17th time the other day, and I found at least 4 new things I hadn't heard before. It's so deep, yet so catchy. Great work!" -Brett Covington, music critic and novelist from Brussels, Belgium.
