Details:
Kaijin Stone Black Diamonds is Kaijin's latest project. The music is a contemporary fusion of Folk, Blues and Rock with just a hint of Jazz. All of this produces an upbeat sort of rhythm with a bluesy vocal for the lyrics to ride on.
The New EP alternatively titled "Watch Your Head," was recorded in May this year and is a prelude to Kaijin's recording plans for the next couple of years. Waiting for the internet to sort itself out has been the upside to a long writing hiatus during what Kaijin called "The Second Cold War." As such "Viva la Difference," a swingy kind of number, might well be dedicated to recent changes in attitude both here and in the US, though it was originally written about Friday night busking in King's Cross.
Conversely "Little America" sums up the way it was in Australia after 2004 and "Waltzing EconOmisers" asks the obvious question, "How much insult?" The opening track "The Dancer" is a just good stomper designed for a good time and the last track "Rain" is a ballad to love itself.
