I reside with my family in Ithaca, New York. Ithaca has a diverse and inviting music scene, and Iâm glad to be part of it.

A native of South Carolina, I grew up on instant mac-n-cheese and fried chicken, television sit-coms and Baptist sermons. Musically, I cut my teeth on hymns and classic country. As I grew older I developed an appreciation for just about all types of music. Some of my favorites? Bruce Springsteen, Fats Domino, Collective Soul, Bach, Hank Williams Sr., Enya, Don Henley, Sarah McLachlan, Tom Petty (and Roy Orbison and the Traveling Wilburys, of course!), Ronnie Milsap, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Doris Dayâ¦name the genre and more than likely thereâs something I like within it.

Several years back a friend gave me a guitar. I started learning chords but got bored very quickly. So, when it was time to learn a new chord I wrote a song with that new chord in it â to make it stick. I didnât mean to become a songwriter, but thank God I did.

I would describe my own music as folky and thoughtful. Every now and then my music has some funky chord changes, but so do I. I hope you hear something in my music that speaks to you.
