Del Rivers, in a change of pace, has created a comedy CD with fellow disc-jockey/comedian Chuck McCoy. Delâs last CD â âThe Del Rivers Storyâ â hinted at the possibility of him putting together a comedy collaboration. Del & Chuck are no strangers to comedy, as Del used to make funny tapes with DJ Mike Murray (of âWhole Lotta Shakinââ WITR-FM); and Chuck McCoy recorded various bits throughout his career as a DJ in Buffalo, NY and other Upstate, NY markets. âThe Comedy CDâ was given a special artwork design by famed inker/cartoonist Ken Wheaton (Simpsons Comics) in a Beatlesâ Sgt. Pepper design. The humor aspect of this album is in the vein of satire - like a classic issue of MAD Magazine. Normally, Del & Chuck work on independent radio programs, as well as various stand-up routines, songs, and cable television programming. In fact, many of the parody characters (real and imaginary) frequently make appearances on their internet radio program âVinyl Vortexâ on Live365.
