Sarah Lawrence is enjoying a widely varied career. Her rapidly expanding repertoire includes oratorio, operetta, opera and musical theatre. The release of her first CD, Sweet Hello, marks her debut as a recording artist.

Sarahâs concert repertoire shows her versatility. She has performed Handelâs Messiah with the symphonies of Omaha, Madison, Cheyenne and the Apollo Chorus in Chicagoâs Orchestra Hall. With Wisconsinâs Peninsula Music Festival she has sung Haydnâs Creation and Bachâs B Minor Mass. Other Haydn performances have included the St. Cecilia Mass with the Rochester Oratorio Society, and the Lord Nelson Mass with the North Shore Choral Society. With the Madison Symphony Orchestra she has also performed Bachâs Magnificat and Mozartâs Mass in C Minor. She sang Prokofievâs The Ugly Duckling and Canteloubeâs Chants dâAuvergne with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. She has appeared in revue concerts with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra (Lerner & Loewe, Richard Rodgers), the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra (Rodgers & Bernstein), and the Southwest Michigan Symphony (Rodgers Centennial).

Equally comfortable on the stage, Ms. Lawrence has performed the role of Masha in The Music Shop, Norina in Don Pasquale, Gretel in Hansel & Gretel, Frasquita in Carmen, and Anne Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor. She has appeared with Madison Opera, Opera for the Young, Light Opera Oklahoma, and Dorian Opera Theatre. With Colder By the Lake, Minnesotaâs acclaimed comedy troupe, she created the role of Missy in the world premiere of Tyler Kaiserâs Les Uncomfortables and Pristine in the parody Phantom of the Norshor. Most recently, she added Pamina to her repertoire, appearing with Lyric Opera of the North in their production of The Magic Flute. A huge fan of Gilbert & Sullivanâs operettas, Sarah has appeared as Rose Maybud in Ruddigore, Angelina in Trial by Jury, Yum-Yum in The Mikado, and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance.

Sarah is currently appearing as Christine Daae in the Third National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera. The company recently spent two months performing in the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. While they were there, Sarah recorded her first album, Sweet Hello. The CD includes favorites from musical theatre and operetta (and a couple of other gems) with new arrangements by her college friend, John Paulson, and a few duets with her husband, Calland Metts.

A native of Wisconsin, Sarah now calls Minnesota home.
