Tim Has a BA in Business and a BFA in Sculpture. Presently, he is pursuing his masters in Sculpture. Tim has been playing music since the 5th grade and continues to this day. He grew up in Montana, relocated to Los Angeles where he lived for 10 years, and worked for Geffen Records before moving to Seattle and then to his present location of Phoenix Arizona. Tim no longer tours but apart from a recent radio show showcasing his CD on the Tune-In-Seattle show with Doug Deems, one of his biggest thrills is listening to his CD on a mountain top outside of Yellowstone Park and hearing it in a few Paris Pubs. The Entire Unghietto project was done in his sculpture studio with some guest appearances by Chicago Blues Guitarist, Mike Maranda, guest vocalist Dan Taylor from Dumont New Jersey, Wes Whitley from Billings Montana and Mastering by John A. Herrmann from Australia (also featured on CD-Baby)
This is an upbeat feel good driving rock and roll project with some thought to the lyrics.
The song "Le Grand Bleu"
Inspired by a trip to the south of France, where all problems are forgotten. This is French for the Grand Blue which is their nick name for the deep blue Mediterranean sea.
"One Smoke"
I am an ex smoker who go tired of all the hubbub about it. I wish people would see that it's not just cigs that are a problem. I use to drive with a bumper sticker that said "If you drive, you smoke" and people would scratch their head and say huh? I am not trying to advocate smoking but take a look around. The "smoke nazis" banned cigs but it is still ok to drive a gas hog that gets 5 miles to the gallon. Second hand smoke can kill you, but exhaust will do you in allot quicker. when I think about the way the worlds going today, I feel like lighting up again.
Zeno's Bow
Zeno was an ancient philosopher/mathematician who would go into a bar and make a bet with a patron that he could shoot his bow and arrow in the direction of their heart and it would not kill them. He would then prove it to them mathematically. First the arrow would have to travel half the distance to the person then half more of the remaining distance, then half again and again an infinite number of times. With this formula, the arrow never reaches the heart. In calculus, I think they call this a limit "as zero approaches infinity". As my life and times fly by, I think about Zeno.
Lap it Up
Our landfills are filling up with cheep Chinese junk. As consumers, it seems we would rather save a dollar and put our neighbor out of work than buy American made. Seems we don't see the effect of our voracious appetite for "things" Our consumption has run amok. Who was it that said, "we will all be working for Wall Mart"? Keeping up with the Jones is killing us.
Diamond Trade
I think the lyrics explain themselves pretty well. I am still amazed at our infatuation with diamonds, this "Bling Bling" thing makes me ill. It shows how uniformed and self centered we can be as consumers. They say that the "diamonds are a girls best friend" advertising campaign is the biggest marketing trick of all time.
"Barnicle Bastard"
Everyone knows one. Are they slowing you down?
