A diverse blend of Blues, Fusion, and Experimental sounds

10 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Instrumental Rock, BLUES: Guitar Blues

Details:
Diego Picetti's debut album is a diverse mix of sounds, from blues to fusion rock to experimental. This first collection of songs explores the various sides of instrumental guitar. Some guitarists focus on sheer speed, or the bending and re-bending of strings. Diego's style is completely immersed in his passion for rich, buttery tone. His unique sound flows in waves, exploring every inch of his instrument. Each song has been carefully and intricately written-you won't find any "filler" songs here. "Session 1" is really an historical look into the evolution of this self-taught artist's musical journey. Diego began, as many young guitar players do, with one name on his mind- HENDRIX. After teaching himself to play by listening to Jimi's records, he found he had a penchant for seeing a different side to the blues than many of his peers, who had told him it must be kept simple. None of that for Diego Picetti. His intricacy is like a fine lace, even with something as rockin' as the blues, and one day, he heard someone who seemed to agree with him-Eric Johnson. When Diego first listened to Ah Via Musicom, he became inspired in a whole new way, and began delving deeper into the textures and "colors" of tones and chordal structures, melding blues, jazz, and even a classical feel into his songs. Even the experimental "Morning Moon," in all it's chaotic beauty, is so delicate and precise, it hardly seems unbalanced from the fusion or blues tracks on the album. It's more like a lovely dessert.
