Dan Johnston is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist(focusing on guitar). He has been involved in various bands and solo projects over the years. In the early 90's Dan was the singer, writer and front man of the progressive rock band, Scarlet Rayne. Rayne received national air play as well as distribution in North America and Australia.
From '96 to '98 Dan was involved in a collaborative songwriting effort with his brother Matt in a band called The Fontanell's which was featured on various live television and radio specials. Dan's most recent recording is a solo effort entitled "Daniel Johnston: Time & Pain" which was produced by Michael Hoffman(Verve Pipe, Willy Porter, Melaniejane). Bassist Matt Miller(formerly of American Standard, featuring the multi-platinum selling voice of Corey Sterling heard on Kenny Wayne Shepards' deput cd, Leddbedder Heights) and drummer Adam Sullivan join him on this recording.
