88Magic is Gere Fennelly...and Gere Fennelly is 88Magic! A pianist of staggering talent, she was a child prodigy who landed her first job as a church organist at the age of 10. She spans the entire musical spectrum from rock to classical, jazz to pop, and everything in between. Spending her teen years as a rock star in Japan in the all-girl teen sensation "Rox", she went on to dazzle the people of San Francisco with her over-the-top cabaret shows in the 80's. She moved to Los Angeles in '91 to join the legendary LA band Redd Kross, making appearances on The Tonight Show, Conan O'Brian, Jon Stewert, and MTV. "The Many Moods of 88Magic" showcases her love of classic film soundtrack music, composed in the style of composers Ennio Morricone, Michel Legrand and Nino Roto. Gere wrote, played, produced and recorded every track on the album at her home studio using her trusty Mac and the Logic software. She wants you to enjoy the lush sounds of 88Magic!
