Cerulean Blue was started in the winter of 2000. In the small town of White Salmon, WA (60 miles east of Portland) Lead singer Keegan Matosich and lead guitarist Evan Larsell formed the band and drummer Chad Hinman and bassist Reed Harvey joined with no previous musical background. They started praciticing together and finally stared begging for shows to play. They started playing shows with local band Mosaic and continuted to improve, define their own stlye of alternative rock.

As each of the band memebers individually started to master their own instrument, they started to think about putting an album underway. They have been together for over two years and try to play as much as they can in Portland. The self-titled debut was relesed in May of 2002, after many long recording hours and hard work put into the bands first album. They are currently working on recording their second album, while playing as many shows as possible.
