Distant Gatherings is a band created by Jocke Svensson and Börje Reinholdsson. It came about after composing songs togheter for a couple of years without any bigger intentions than to have fun. After listening to the songs they thought the material was really good and decided that it would be really cool to do a whole record togheter celebrating their work.


The debutalbum Dreams are for free is an album filled with powerpop coloured by different moods. Börje and Jocke are raised with different musical influences. Börjes raw models are Kiss, Prince,Thin Lizzy and Rush â Jockes are Alan Parsons, Pink Floyd, Santana and Cornelis Wreesvijk. They have spent uncountable hours trying to âsalvateâ the other with the kind of music they have kept closest to their hearts. The result has become an album with wide musical tolerance and curiosity. Dreams are for free is a record that combines brilliant pop melodies with the power of rock, funk and amazing vocals.
