Gypsy Dreamer is not your typical Las Vegas band. In fact, they would be unusual regardless of which city they called home. Their style combines elements of Blues, Rock, Folk, Progressive, and World Music and is a throwback to an earlier, simpler time. The first time Christine, Michael and George played together, it was the music magic you hear so much about.

Christine Tharel, (lead vocals, lyrics, and percussion) is a native of Las Vegas. She started singing in church choir and then The Las Vegas Boys and Girls Choir. A few years later she discovered Rock and Roll and, let's just say that a lot of doors began to open. Her influences come from the 70's Rock of Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin, later discovering the female vocalists such as Janis Joplin, Chrissie Hynde, and Ann Wilson.

Michael Zionch, aka The Big Z (acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and vocals), raised in Brooklyn, NY, began playing music as a child. He studied Composition and Musicology at Queens College (NY) and was part of the Post-Punk New Wave Scene in New York. His influences range from Paul Simon to Black Sabbath to Yes, with detours through Beethoven, Miles Davis, and Rogers & Hammerstein.

George Frenchman, aka Guitarhead (electric and acoustic lead and rhythm guitars) was introduced to many great genres of music as a young adult, including Modern Jazz, Blues, Classical, and Swing from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. A short list of his modern influences would include such legends as Carlos Santana, Tony Iommi, and Eric Clapton as well as today's greats, like Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, and Zakk Wylde.
