david is a 9 year survivor of brain cancer and an award-winning performing songwriter. Over the years, he has seen alot of loss. After the deaths of a friend and a brother , he assembled this special collection of songs from his previous 11 albums. They are meant to comfort and encourage those who remain.

Dear friends: There is a chance that this CD will really help somebody out there and if so, that is awesome and incredibly fulfilling. I have to warn you: there is not a single new song on here - which is kinda lame. But, when I first got the idea for doing this and started listening carefully to a couple hundred songs, these 18 already-recorded tracks became what I hope is a perfect assembly of songs to help folks walk through the valley and get to the other side. The cover shot was selected out of a notion that it is, in the end, still all about the words.

minor production note: This CD does not come in a standard jewel-box, rather in a kind of packaging I'd never seen before that I'm trying for the first time. I thought maybe it would look and feel, well, more comforting.
